Solar Installation: Terms of Service

Service Provider: Prairie Solar Electrical Lead: Licensed Saskatchewan Journeyman Electrician

1. The "10-Day Peace of Mind" Period

Per the Saskatchewan Direct Sellers Act, you have an absolute right to cancel this contract for any reason within 10 days of signing. We will not order equipment or apply for permits until this period has passed, ensuring your 100% refund remains protected.

2. Payment Milestones

To keep our pricing "Surplus-Low," we operate on a milestone payment schedule:

  • Planning Deposit ($1,500): Due upon signing. This covers your City of Regina Building Permit, TSASK Electrical Permit, and the engineering review.

  • Hardware Milestone (Remaining Balance): Due once the 10-day cooling-off period expires. This allows us to secure your Thornova 440W Bifacial panels and Enphase micro-inverters.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Within 10 Days: 100% refund of all deposits.

  • After 10 Days (Pre-Installation): Refund of deposit less any non-refundable costs already incurred (e.g., approved permit fees or engineering stamps).

  • Post-Installation: No refunds on labor or permits. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (25 years on panels/inverters).

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • SaskPower Application Fee: The customer is responsible for the $315 SaskPower Net Metering application fee, paid directly to the utility.

  • Bi-Directional Meter: If a meter swap is required by SaskPower, any additional utility charges for the meter itself are the responsibility of the homeowner.

  • Roof Condition: Installation assumes a roof in good structural repair. Any required re-shingling must be completed prior to Day 1 of the solar install.

Conditions for returns:

In order for the goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The goods were purchased in the last 30 days

  • The goods are in the original packaging

The following goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.

  • The supply of goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, for example goods which deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.

  • The supply of goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

  • The supply of goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

Returning Goods

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the goods to us. You should send the goods to the following address:

We cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, we recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the goods or proof of received return delivery.

Gifts:

If the goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give it to you later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
